At hartografie, nearly all photos are taken with the camera mounted on a tripod and aligned with a bubble level to ensure vertical lines and an even horizon. We also use very wide angle lenses, which are necessary to get more of the room in one photograph. These lenses can sometimes cause the view to become distorted and look strange. Real estate agents often hear from buyers that the view shown by a photograph seems unnatural. Additionally, the vertical lines of doors, walls, and windows can appear to be tilting inward or outward. At hartografie, we take the time to correct these angles so that potential buyers can get an accurate and normal looking view of any given room.
